This design went through many iterations before settling on a forward-facing shape with a top button and silicone strap for various handlebar sizes. I ensured the sounds were loud enough to be heard from 100 feet away and designed a protected button battery compartment. Released before Reese’s Law, this project taught me to anticipate regulatory changes—leading Kikkerland to prioritize captive screws or rechargeable designs in new products. Not making it rechargeable upfront would mean a costly mold redo later, highlighting the value of forward-thinking in product design.
