My family introduced me to grow lights, but the market was full of cold, medical-looking designs. I wanted to bring warmth and personality, so I envisioned a mushroom growing out of the plant with an extendable stake.

Early factory prototypes used only purple LEDs, but research showed that separate red, blue, and white LEDs deliver the best plant growth. I made sure our design provides a full spectrum of light for optimal results. I collaborated closely with the packaging team to ensure the box and instruction sheet clearly communicated the light’s unique features, automatic timer funcitons, and light temperature range. I experimented with a natural copper-colored stem but we switched to stainless steel to maintain rust resistance for a longer life. The result is a novel grow light unlike anything else out there!
