I started by exploring a two-piece silicone and PP ice mold, first experimenting with surface graphics like an ice block print before evolving it into a fully molded brick texture. From there, the concept flipped, literally, into a domed igloo form with a separate door detail, turning a simple mold into something more playful and dimensional. Getting it right took careful testing: dialing in the silicone to the right shore hardness so cubes release cleanly but still hold their shape, matching colors across different materials, and working with packaging to clearly communicate the fill-and-flip process.
