My Design Process
After the success of our Banana Lick Mat, we decided to stay in the fruit family. Watermelon felt like a natural next step, especially since dogs love it just as much. The challenge came with the seeds, adding more black insert pieces increased both cost and complexity at the factory. I went through multiple iterations, refining the number and size of the seeds to keep the design playful while staying efficient to produce.
