My Design Process
Embroidery kits are a Kikkerland staple, and this one features the cardinal, the state bird of my home state, North Carolina, and a symbol of hope and joy.
The challenge was translating its vibrant reds and leafy greens into a pixelated style, using subtle shifts in color to create depth. A tiny color-balancing act that turns simple stitches into a lively little bird.
